* I list this first because it is so much of what we do at TL Painting & Decorating and the most overlooked step by do-it-yourselfers and novice painters. A paint job is only as good as the surface that lies beneath it. We believe that skipping this step is the biggest mistake one can make when having their home painted.

  • Use of all sorts of products such as; stain, sanding sealer, varnish, urethane, shellac, lacquer and/or enamel specifically suited to your project
  • Attention to detailed stain matching and blending techniques, matching old to new or new to old

 Wallcoverings/Wallpaper     

  • Wallpaper stripping
  • Glue removal
  • Repair and proper preparation of plaster/lathe, drywall 
  • Priming/Sizing of walls providing better adhesion and easy removal years later
